SmartFiles is provided for general personal and business use. It is not a substitute for professional backup, archival, legal, financial, medical, or other specialist services.

You must be able to form a legally binding agreement under the laws that apply to you to use the Service. If you use SmartFiles on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

Standard SmartFiles tools do not require an account. If we introduce account-based features in the future, additional terms or notices may apply to those features.

• upload, distribute, or attempt to process malware, harmful code, or files intended to disrupt systems;

You retain ownership of the files and content you process through SmartFiles. You are solely responsible for your files and for ensuring that you have all rights, permissions, and consents needed to use and process them.

Do not rely on SmartFiles as your only copy of an important file. Keep your own backups before processing, converting, or downloading content.

Many SmartFiles tools are designed to process files locally in your browser. Some features may require different technical processing or use third-party infrastructure; tool-specific behavior can vary.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SmartFiles will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, files, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

We may update these Terms of Service when the Service, legal requirements, or our practices change. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of SmartFiles after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
